P.J. Redmond grew up in West Goshen Township and currently resides in the Caswallen neighborhood in West Goshen Township with his wife, Natalie, and their two teenage sons, Dan and Mike along with their family’s two dogs, Ember and Alfred.
P.J. graduated from The Salesianum School then earned his undergraduate and Juris Doctorate degrees from Villanova University. Upon graduation, he was a partner at Duffy, Green and Redmond practicing as a private attorney in the great Philadelphia region. After 20 years as a lawyer, P.J. decided to make a switch to serve the Chester County residents and became a public defender in 2008. He currently works for the Public Defender's office and serves clients of all walks of life. His broad array of experience with every level of the justice systems qualifies him with the experience and qualifications to serve as District Judge.
Aside from legal work, P.J. admires his community and has been doing more than just working and raising a family in the West Chester area. He believes in the importance of giving back and ensuring that future generations have the skills and abilities to serve their community. He is known for his involvement as a Scout Master for the Boy Scouts of America and his service to Saint Agnes School. For over 20 years, PJ served as Judge of Elections along with other positions at his polling place at Peirce Middle School. Public service is nothing new to P.J. Redmond for his ready to bring his experience to the bench to serve the residents of West Goshen, Westtown and Thornbury with integrity, honesty and purpose.
